5 Bad Habits That Are Costing You Time (and Money!)
Amid the whirlwind of activities we do daily, many of our habits are merely reproduced without realizing how harmful they may be.
That is why we list 5 habits that make you lose time and therefore are bad for those who are treading the paths of financial freedom.
Ready?
1 - TAKING CALLS OF UNKNOWN NUMBERS
Only the distraction and disruption of your activities that an unwanted call can cause you simply overturns many of your efforts in maintaining focus and good levels of productivity.
A simple tool like the Whoscall application can save you from many interruptions and unwanted connections.
2 - CHECK SOCIAL MEDIAS AND SEND E-MAILS AT THE BEGINNING OR AT THE END OF THE DAY
Yes, we know: Curiosity is often so great that we start the day soon wondering what's new in social networks and our beloved inbox, but this whole curiosity has a cost, that of completely compromising your list priorities or even compromise the quality of your sleep.
One tip is to leave this check for 10am, because until this time at least one of your priority activities is already fulfilled.
3 - MARK AND / OR PARTICIPATE IN MEETINGS WITHOUT TIME DEFINED
Before marking meetings, clearly define the topics to be covered and the expected results of each of them. If you are only invited, make sure the meeting has established agenda and goals.
Believe me, a well-organized meeting will make everyone win (and will not waste anyone's time).
4 - BEING TOO EXTENDED
Do not let people take too much time with protocols that only prolong a conversation and give the impression that you have plenty of time.
Tip: change the "Hello, how's it going? All right?" for "I'm kind of busy right now, what happened?"
5 - CHECK E-MAIL ALL TIME
Again he, the champion of wasted time: the email.
Not that the problem is in the email itself, but in the way people use it.
Tip: Create specific times in your daily routine to read and respond to your email. Use and abuse automatic responses.
Oh, a good tip is to focus on one habit at a time, as if it were a priority list, to be eliminated.
If you can eliminate one of these habits from your day to day, tell us the results in the comments.
